No News

It is really hard living your life but still always wondering and waiting if you are going to get the "call". We are on holidays right now making amazing memories with our family. We have been to Disneyland, California Adventure Park, Lego Land, and now enjoying the gorgeous phoenix sun. It is great that we get to have these experiences and it does take my mind off of the lack of news in our adoption.

The hardest thing for me right now is planning and thinking "will we have a new addition by" ... the end of June. Will it be by the end of summer? Will it be by October? uggh I hope so, October is 6 months away... can I wait that long or possible even longer? So many questions and no answer. The blogs I read, the message boards, the adoption agency have no news. It is hard not knowing.

Please pray for the Governments involved to get the paperwork done and allow adoption to start flowing. Thank you for you prayers and support, Love Dilly

Being obedient to God

When I first heard the song, "Give Me Your Eyes" by Brandon Heath I knew I loved it. I began praying this song. "Give me your eyes so I can see. Give me love for humanity, Arms for the broken hearted, the ones that are far beyond my reach. Give me your love for the ones forgotten. Give me your eyes so I can see." I felt I was being opened, that God was working in me.

Things in our life all started to confirm adoption. I would stay up late at night reading adoption blogs about international adoption wondering if we really could do it? I knew it would be hard and take a lot. Then we thought what really is stopping us? If God is calling us, why are we not following. The main reason was that international adoption costs a lot of money.  But is that a reason to deny God, to not grow our family, to deny a child of the love we have to offer. No. So we jumped in. We know that if God called us to do adopt he will provide a way for us to have everything we need. God calls all of us" to look after orphans and widows in their distress." (James 1:27) This doesn't mean everyone should adopt but everyone is to be concerned for orphans. So thank you to everyone who has helped us through prayer and buying cake pops.

Last Sunday was confirmation that we are doing the right thing. Our pastor talked about being obedient to God through uncertainties. Trusting God through the confusion. We question God, this doesn't make sense. We want answers. I recognize God is creating more than we can even imagine. The future is in the hands of God. Lord we surrender all.

Please pray for our adoption and everyone involved. Thanks for your support, Love Dilly
