Being obedient to God

When I first heard the song, "Give Me Your Eyes" by Brandon Heath I knew I loved it. I began praying this song. "Give me your eyes so I can see. Give me love for humanity, Arms for the broken hearted, the ones that are far beyond my reach. Give me your love for the ones forgotten. Give me your eyes so I can see." I felt I was being opened, that God was working in me.

Things in our life all started to confirm adoption. I would stay up late at night reading adoption blogs about international adoption wondering if we really could do it? I knew it would be hard and take a lot. Then we thought what really is stopping us? If God is calling us, why are we not following. The main reason was that international adoption costs a lot of money.  But is that a reason to deny God, to not grow our family, to deny a child of the love we have to offer. No. So we jumped in. We know that if God called us to do adopt he will provide a way for us to have everything we need. God calls all of us" to look after orphans and widows in their distress." (James 1:27) This doesn't mean everyone should adopt but everyone is to be concerned for orphans. So thank you to everyone who has helped us through prayer and buying cake pops.

Last Sunday was confirmation that we are doing the right thing. Our pastor talked about being obedient to God through uncertainties. Trusting God through the confusion. We question God, this doesn't make sense. We want answers. I recognize God is creating more than we can even imagine. The future is in the hands of God. Lord we surrender all.

Please pray for our adoption and everyone involved. Thanks for your support, Love Dilly

Pink Eye Go Away, PLEASE

We have been dealing with pink eye at our house for over a month now! KK got it first, then it went away for a week. Then he got it again and Strep throat at the same time (poor guy). Then he shared his pink eye with his sister. So she has been home all week with pink eye and a sore throat. And yesterday she decided to share her pink eye with me. I woke up with both eyes glued shut, itchy and red. So off we go to the ER, since no doctors are open on the weekend and we wait. I am starting to get used to waiting. I still am not very good at it but I was prepared. While we are waiting, Jumping Jack throws up because of her fever. So an hour and a half later we get to see the doctor and confirm what I already knew... Pink eye. We head to the drug store to get our prescriptions, cleaning supplies and hand sanitizer. I WILL get rid of this pink eye germs at our house. I am cleaning and disinfecting like crazy and bedding and towels are being washed constantly. I have hand sanitizer and lysol wipes through out the house for everyone to use. We are constantly washing our hands and wiping down remotes, door knobs and commonly touched items. Pink eye go away you were never invited to our house. Love Dilly
